Write a 5 paragraph essay in response to the following: Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Othello depicts the theme of loyalty of a wife towards her husband. You can talk about Desdemona’s loyalty to Othello and compare it to Emilia’s loyalty to Iago. In the first paragraph, introduce your thesis statement where you state that Shakespeare in actuality introduces the theme of a wife’s loyalty and compares it with other loyalties in the play. Then, list three main points that support/explain this statement. In the three body paragraphs, explain how each main point supports the statement that Shakespeare’s play depicts a wife’s/woman’s loyalty as one of the major themes in the play. Give examples for support. In the conclusion, summarize the thesis and the main points you have already talked about in the essay. Make sure you quote from the play to support your statements. (Do not overquote /20% should be the limit of your quotes). Use the MLA style.
