QUESTION: The world appears to be reaching the limits of global food production given current technology, land, and water resources. Are genetically modified crops a solution or are they the precursors of a global nemesis event? My pre-answer: I believe it to be helpful when trying to maximize the food production to match the yield of growing population density. Although it may help to keep food at a succession, there are concurring problems that affect the earth and its detrimental effects on Earth’s resources.
