Through public administration we define who we are as a nation, from economics to pollution to civil rights. But what exactly does it mean to be a public administrator, and how does it influence the lives of citizens?

Firstly, what is public administration? Why is it important? Provide an overview of its purpose and function in America.
Secondly, compare and contrast public administration and business administration. Provide two specific examples of how the fields are different and two examples of how they are the same.
Finally, what kinds of occupations are in public administration? Provide three examples: one from nonprofit administration, one from federal government, and one from state or local government. Describe the job functions and requirements of these roles.

This is a very exciting and intellectually demanding career, and as such can be very challenging. So why should an international students study this?
It attempts to explain how decisions in government are made as well as administrating projects to carry out those decisions. It is a degree prepares international students for a career in government or non-profit work. Studying be an extremely rewarding experience for anyone looking to give back to their community by solving difficult problems.
US President Woodrow Wilson, one of the great proponents and teachers wrote, “It is the object of administrative study to discover, first, what government can properly and successfully do, and, secondly, how it can do these proper things with the utmost possible efficiency and at the least possible cost either of money or of energy.” This is no easy task! Thus, the study helps students realize the different ways to accomplish these two objectives.
